1. The service
Viduvo helps you learn English with videos: it shows videos with interactive subtitles, translates words, and lets you save and review them. We may add, change or remove features over time.
2. Who can use Viduvo
You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your country, to use Viduvo. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you need the permission of a parent or guardian, who also accepts these terms.
3. Viduvo Plus subscriptions
- Viduvo is free to use. Viduvo Plus is an optional paid subscription offered monthly or yearly. Prices are shown in the app before you buy and may vary by country.
- Purchases are processed by Google Play and are subject to the Google Play Terms of Service. Payment is charged to your Google account.
- Free trial. If a free trial is offered, you will not be charged during the trial. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends, the subscription starts automatically and you are charged for the plan you chose.
- Automatic renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period at the then-current price until you cancel. We will notify you in advance of any price change as required by Google Play.
- Cancelling. Open Google Play → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions, choose Viduvo and tap Cancel. You keep Plus until the end of the current paid period. Uninstalling the app does not cancel your subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Google Play under its refund policy, except where the law of your country gives you other rights.
4. Videos and third-party content
Videos in Viduvo are provided by YouTube through YouTube API Services and belong to their creators. By watching them you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. We do not own, control or endorse these videos and are not responsible for their content or availability. Videos may be removed by their owners at any time.
Translations, levels and example sentences are generated with automated tools and may contain mistakes. Use them as a learning aid, not as a professional translation.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- copy, resell or redistribute Viduvo or its content;
- download, record or extract videos or subtitles from the app, or use the app to infringe anyone’s rights;
- reverse engineer, scrape or interfere with the app, its servers or its security;
- use Viduvo for anything unlawful.
6. Our rights
Viduvo, its design, software, logo and our original content belong to us and are protected by law. We give you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the app for your own learning, subject to these terms. The words you save are yours.
7. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information. It is part of these terms.
8. Ending your use
You can stop using Viduvo at any time and ask us to delete your data as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms. Cancel any active subscription in Google Play first.
9. Disclaimer
Viduvo is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work hard to keep it running and accurate, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will help you reach a particular level of English.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for loss of data or profits. Our total liability for any claim relating to Viduvo is limited to the amount you paid us for Viduvo Plus in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, tell you in the app before they take effect. If you keep using Viduvo after that, you accept the new terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring claims in your local courts.
